Bob (R.J.) Bastian is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Design at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, and a senior researcher in the LEADIN’Lab, the Laboratory of LEAdership, Design, and INnovation. At the core of his research, he explores how we deal with uncertainty while solving problems. Bob sees entrepreneurship as a crucial disruptive role for solving meaningful societal problems. His research and teaching explore how we form mental models about these problems and develop solutions to society’s most pressing puzzles.
