Francesca Fumero is an Assistant Professor in Operations Research at Politecnico di Milano. She received her Laurea in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and her Ph.D. in Computational Mathematics and Operations Research from Università degli Studi di Milano.
Since 1992, she has gained considerable teaching experience in courses on Operations Research, Optimization Methods, Production and Logistics Models, Decision Support Methods and Models for the Degree in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and, for several years, in the Operations Research course at University of Milan (Computer Science Degree). She has taught numerous courses and lectures in various PhD programs at Politecnico di Milano and at GSoM, in the areas of Statistics, Quantitative Methods, and Decision Support Systems. She has supervised several theses in the field of Operations Research and has tutored to a number of students participating in company internships.
She is currently a member of the Disciplinary Committee of Politecnico.
