Matteo Rossini is Associate Professor in Operations Management at the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on operations improvement, production planning and control, and the integration of Lean practices with digital technologies such as Industry 4.0 and Digital Twins. He serves as Scientific Director of the Lean 4.0, Logistics 4.0, and Digital Twin clusters at MADE – Competence Centre Industria 4.0, where he coordinates research and industrial collaboration projects.
Matteo earned his PhD in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2018 and has been a visiting researcher at Cardiff Business School (UK), UFSC (Brazil), and ETH Zurich (Switzerland). His work has been published in leading international journals including International Journal of Production Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management.
He teaches Operations Management in MSc and Executive MBA programs and actively contributes to teaching innovation initiatives within his department
