Brendan is an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano, specializing in Advanced and Smart Manufacturing with special attention to Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering. His work focuses on the development of cross-disciplinary Decision Support Systems to support value maximization and sustainability. Focus areas include: (1) the integration of model-based systems engineering and life cycle engineering, 2) the synergistic modeling of operation and engineering systems for extended value, and (3) the development of cost and economic models for the evaluation of change within engineering systems. He teaches Product Lifecycle Management, Industrial Technologies, and Design and Management of Production Systems at the MSc level. Brendan has published in international journals such as Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments, Acta Astronautica, Journal of Engineering Design, and International Journal of Engineering Business Management.
