Dr. Jinhua Xiao is an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering through a joint program between the Université de Technologie de Compiègne and ENS Paris-Saclay. He has published over 50 research papers, filed more than 10 patents, and contributed to the development of 3 industry standards. Dr. Xiao has been involved in the design and equipment development for early-stage waste power battery recycling production lines, where he resolved several key technical challenges. He currently holds memberships in several professional organizations, including the Smart Factory Professional Committee of the China Society for Graphics and the French Industrial Alliance, L’AFNeT. His primary research interests include human-robot collaboration, intelligent disassembly, and the application of artificial intelligence in industrial manufacturing. He teaches courses such as “Industrial Technology”, “PLM”, etc. Additionally, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Engineering Research and Sciences, Associate Editor of International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, Editorial Board Member of Control Engineering Practices, and Guest Editor for IET CIM and AMSE JCISE. He also actively reviews for numerous top-tier academic journals.
