PhD in Design, Marzia Mortati is Associate Professor at the Department of Design of Politecnico di Milano where she teaches Service Design, Innovation, and their critical links with digital transformation. Marzia is one of the Executive Directors of the European Academy of Design since 2020, Associate Editor of The Design Journal, and Academic Director of the International Master in AI for Public Services. Her research focuses on the Design Process, Service Design, Public Sector Innovation and new technologies. She has authored articles on Design Innovation, AI and Service Design in Government, and Design Thinking in the public sector in academic journals, including Technovation, Design Issues, The Design Journal, Policy Science, and The Journal of Service Research.
